Kiro

Connect uSMART MCP to Kiro — order queries, pre-trade checks and (opt-in) trading.

Updated 2026-10-21

Local clients run usmart-mcp over stdio: credentials stay in ~/.usmart on your machine, and the first call opens the browser for uSMART authorization.

Where to find it

Edit ~/.kiro/settings/mcp.json

Configuration

kiro
json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "usmart": {
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": ["--from", "usmart-mcp==1.2.0", "usmart-mcp"],
      "env": { "USMART_READONLY": "1" },
      "disabled": false,
      "autoApprove": []
    }
  }
}

Finish authorization

  1. Install Python 3.10+ and uv
  2. Add usmart-mcp to the client with the configuration above
  3. The first call opens the browser for uSMART authorization
  4. Stay on USMART_READONLY=1 and verify with check_trade_credentials and list_today_orders

If the file already has servers, merge the usmart entry instead of overwriting.
